Acrylic Paint Nail art

I broke out the acrylic paints and practiced doing nail art as I had a free afternoon XD
First I did a skull

Then I did a heart with a banner

Then I drew a dagger with wings
And then I did a feather
I also did a free hand star. For some reason I have issues with stars they always seem wonky but this on was ok. Not interesting but it turned out nicely.
I've already taken these off as this was just a practice session. I might try a gradient later as I really like the colour changing polishes I've been seeing on other blogs

Oh My Gosh - Gosh Holographic Leopard Print

I am a very lucky girl. I found a Gosh Holographic 549 in a little superdrug. It was the very last one! It's very pretty

As I can't leave any polish plain!

You can't really see it in the photos but holographic is still good under the nail art.

I like it I think it has a minx look about it

Freehand Paisley

Hi everyone
Thank you to everyone who takes time to comment I really appreciate it. I know I read tons of blogs and don't get the time to comment as much as I would like. If you're ever looking for more blogs to read have a look in my blog roll there are some amazing blogs in there.

Anyway back to the nails! I used Models Own in concrete mixer. I have to say that it is so good at covering in one coat. Not all models own do that. It also blends really well with my skin tone. I used a black permanent fine liner pen for the details. I don't think it would be good to draw directly onto your nails with them but over polish they seem fine. If the packet says do not get on skin etc then do not use it.

I love doodling paisley so it was obvious choice for the first nails I did using the pen. I don't know why I didn't think of it before! I hope you guys like them!

Blue and White China Pattern

Surfing the net I have been inspired by Prada S/S 2011 collection in particular this top (source vogue)
I used Models Own Snow White Polish as the main colour and a cheap ebay nail art pen for the colour, which is a navy jelly.

The top picture is most colour accurate but grainy. I'll put some daylight ipod pics on my tumblr account tomorrow
I hope you like is

Across the Universe style Frankens

So I really love Deborah Lippmann polishes but don't love the price tag! You can get them at House of Fraser in the UK if you want to buy some.

I started mixing Orly's Witches Blue with NYC Starry Silver Glitter. I didn't like the colour it was a bit too bright so I added some Barry M purple and Hello Kitty blue that I got from Claires.
While this is not as glitter packed as Across the Universe I do like the look of it. What do you think?

I hope you don't mind the lack of nail art. Sometimes I just like a change!

What's black, white and red all over?

My nails!
I bought this dress from very which I am wearing on Saturday night and wanted nails to match XD

I used MUA from superdrug in shade 2 for the black. I was really surprised by how well it covered. It was flawless in 1 coat. amazing.
I used nail art pens for the white, red and green. I am using a new selection of base and top coats but I want to give them a good trial before I tell you how I rate them XD

Nails Inc In Style Candy Orange with Gold

I bought the latest issue of In Style and got the orange. I am tempted to buy the other 2 colours but I have similar colours in my collection and I am trying very hard not to double up as much. I'm going to Italy in June and want to save my nail polish pennies for some different and new polishes.
I don't really like orange but this looked ok.
I decided gold would look nice in a free hand pattern.
The gold I used was China Glaze Christmas 2010 collection Midnight Kiss.
I wore that for a day and then decided to add some bright blue in the mix. I thought it looked a bit bland. I used a blue nail art pen and blue rhinestones I got both very cheaply on ebay.

I don't really like it to be honest! I took it off when i got home from work the next day.
It looked better before I got carried away with the rhinestones but I do like the idea. I think I will try some different colours next time

Blog Award Season

Or BAS for short XD
A massive thanks to

Minnie who tagged me for a Kreativ blogger award. You have to check our her website her disney competition entry is sick! She has mad skills.

Lingling who tagged me for a Liebster award. Lingling is one of my blog round up girls and she also entered the disney competitions with this awesome alice design. So cute!

Jen who tagged me for a Kreativ Blogger Award. Jen is also one of my blog round up girls and she is having an awesome giveaway right now

The Nail Addict was kind enough to give me the Liebster award. The Nail Addict is another one of the blog round up crew and she is the queen of the Konad and Fauxnad.

Laura has also given me a Kreativ Blogger Award. I wasn't aware of Laura's blog before the award but I am now a follower :D

All my readers! Thank you so much for your lovely comments about the rockabilly nails. I'm glad you all liked them. I'm sorry I'm not posting as much. It takes a while to do the nail art and some days I just have plain nails because I haven't got time! Especially now I am looking for a new job.
I have started using some new base and top coat products so I will review those soon when I have given them a proper try out.

If you are on my blog roll and haven't had an award yet you are nominated by me now!
